I’m Ian Leonard , i first started in the music business In 1968 and did my first gig in a church hall youth club, the very first record I purchased was ride a white Swan by T Rex I then formed a mobile disco called Delter Disco.

In the mid 70s I got into pirate radio in Mosside Manchester, after spending 4 years running and hiding from the police with a cassette recorder, microphone, and a transmitter I got from the army and navy shop in Manchester,

I then got into radio big time well I say big time it was 1 night on BBC radio Manchester with a presenter called Barron barnie. My favourite radio stations of all time apart from this one was radio Caroline and Piccadilly Radio 261.

I am a big supporter of Manchester city, I also spent 5 years stock car racing and banger racing,

My all time love is helicopters and microlights. In more recent times l’ve spent 11 years on 103.6 FM Tameside radio, then I got into Internet radio, presenting Soul ,60s, 70s,and 80s I’m loving playing all your favourite songs on White Coast Radio with the Retro Cafe.
